Vortex is led by Dr. Steven Johnson, CPA, CITP, who brings nearly three decades of experience in public accounting, business taxation, and financial leadership. Steve previously owned and operated a CPA firm, and his professional background includes senior leadership roles in tax and accounting services, as well as corporate finance.

Today, Steve is a Professor of Accounting at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he primarily teaches business taxation and advanced accounting courses. Through Vortex, he continues to work directly with business clients, combining technical expertise with practical experience and personalized service.
